Sereina's Banana Cake

For the Fourth of July, I made a banana cake with banana buttercream frosting. I used the golden cake recipe from Mark Bitman's cookbook, How To Cook Everything. I just added two mashed up bananas to the recipe. It turned out quite tasty!

I added red (which ended up looking more like pink) and blue frosting, since it was Independence Day. I also made a couple of American flags for decoration.

Sereina's Festive Posies

Yesterday I made a cute fabric flowers, using a tutorial from the Marie Madeline Studio blog. You can find the directions here.

I think it turned out really cute. You could make it into a pin, hair assecory, decorations, and use them to embelish other sewing projects.

Digi-Scrapbooking {Cavell and Mercy}

Lately I've been doing a little bit of digital scrapbooking. There are lots of great, free scrapbooking kits that you can download. I've found all sorts of cool papers and embellishments for free. I make my pages in Photoshop Elements.

Two of my friends (who are sisters), train service dogs. These are the dogs they are currently training:

I used the Echoes of Asia Kit by Jessica Sprague, found here.

Sereina's Frame Makeover

I recently redid some old frames that I had, and gave them a new look.

Here's the before, just a basic wood frame.

I picked some pretty black and white paper from the craft store,

And used a bit of Mod Podge.

I tore the paper into many different sized pieces, and Mod Podged them onto the frame. Heres the completed frame:

All four of the framed I did, all hanging on my wall.

Sereina's Orange Delicious Drink

One of my new favorite summer drinks is this orange delicious. I got the recipie from the Orange Aid, Good Eats episode.
The recipie can be found here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alto ... index.html (I didn't freeze the orange juice, but used ice and OJ instead.)

The Magic Picnic

Last February I created this video with my sisters. I had been watching a lot of I Dream of Jeannie at the time, and had been wanting to try and do some of my own movie magic. Enjoy!
