Sereina's Banana Cake

For the Fourth of July, I made a banana cake with banana buttercream frosting. I used the golden cake recipe from Mark Bitman's cookbook, How To Cook Everything. I just added two mashed up bananas to the recipe. It turned out quite tasty!

 I added red (which ended up looking more like pink) and blue frosting, since it was Independence Day. I also made a couple of American flags for decoration.

Sereina's Festive Posies

Yesterday I made a cute fabric flowers, using a tutorial from the Marie Madeline Studio blog. You can find the directions here.

I think it turned out really cute. You could make it into a pin, hair assecory, decorations, and use them to embelish other sewing projects.

Digi-Scrapbooking {Cavell and Mercy}

Lately I've been doing a little bit of digital scrapbooking. There are lots of great, free scrapbooking kits that you can download. I've found all sorts of cool papers and embellishments for free. I make my pages in Photoshop Elements.

Two of my friends (who are sisters), train service dogs. These are the dogs they are currently training:

I used the Echoes of Asia Kit by Jessica Sprague, found here.
